Center for Puppetry Arts
The Center for Puppetry Arts’ mission is to inspire imagination, education, and community through the global art of puppetry. Since 1978, the Center has introduced millions of visitors of all ages and backgrounds to the wonder and artistry of puppetry through three key programming areas: Performance, Museum, and Education. The Center offers more than 500 puppetry performances for children and adults annually. The Worlds of Puppetry Museum features the largest collection of Jim Henson puppets in the world as well as one of the largest global puppetry collections in the US. The Center offers more than 50 on-and off-site workshops for patrons of all ages including the signature Create-A-Puppet Workshops™. The Center’s award-winning digital platform, Distance Learning, provides interactive, curriculum-rich content to all 50 states and 9 countries.
“We are thrilled to be part of the visionary work being done by the Blank Foundation through the Audience Building Roundtable. Bringing arts organizations of all sizes and types together in a supportive, collaborative environment to capture and understand data and experiment with fresh ways to retain and capture new audiences is an incredible gift and opportunity for the entire arts community in Atlanta.”
