The Michael O’Neal Singers

Since its inception in 1989, The Michael O’Neal Singers organization (MOS) has established itself as one of the premier symphonic choruses in the Southeastern United States. Composed of a symphonic chorus of over 155 auditioned voices and the 36-member Kaleidoscope ensemble, MOS provides a unique opportunity to the north metropolitan Atlanta community to experience choral presentations of unparalleled artistic merit and programmatic variety. The full chorus has 17 recordings to its credit and has performed in some of the most notable venues in the world, receiving high accolades for artistic excellence. MOS presents an annual season of seven concerts which includes a community summer singers program and a Messiah Sing-Along. Through a range of choral programming that includes classical masterworks, sacred and secular vocal music, jazz standards, rock-and-roll, and choruses from musical theatre, MOS offers a spectrum of music to appeal to divers audiences of all ages and musical tastes.

The Audience Building Roundtable has offered one of the best professional development experiences I’ve encountered. The discussions and workshops have been right on target as we at The Michael O’Neal Singers seek to address our organization’s most significant challenge—that of “casting our net wider” in an effort to bring our music to more people. It’s been meaningful to me to be able to connect with the leaders of Atlanta’s other arts organizations as we all work side-by-side on increasing our collective community impact. I’m so very thankful to the Blank Family Foundation for facilitating this collaboration.
